Our Serious Boy...

Amy has taught Oliver to talk. It is hilarious. We recorded him talking this morning. It was one of his more angry conversations. Enjoy.

B. F. F.'s

I went looking for Bryce last night and found he and Daniel up watching old family videos in Daniel's bed. It was so sweet.

NC Fun....

Here are just a few pictures of what all we've been up to....
This is Oliver with a few of his cousins (Savannah, Jacob and Kobe).
Oliver got to meet Crit's beautiful Mom (Patty) today.

Truth comes out....

Oliver is not happy ALL of the time. Here is one his grumpier moments. He was not happy about having his picture taken.

Daniel helped me give Oliver a bath. He is so sweet and careful.

NC Fun

This was a message that couldn't be sent because
of it's size, so we are putting on the blog for all to
see.

It was meant for Jeremy, one person I know
who loves four wheelers, too.
(Don't watch if you get motion sick)

Fun at Grandma's House in the Mountains...

We went up to the mountains of North Carolina today---where my Dad grew up and my Grandma still lives. We have 40 acres of BEAUTIFUL land there. You can kind of see it here.
Daniel, of course, got all dressed up for the walk we took. He played his chanter as we walked. He's all about atmosphere.

This is the apple building on our property. Apples were the way my Dad's family made money his whole life. It was really cool to see how they were sorted and stored, etc.

Here is the smile...Oliver is finally figuring it out. It is so enchanting.

This is our four generation picture with Oliver, Me, my Dad and my Grandma.

I am not sure if you all will find this as incredibly funny as Bryce and I did---

We decided what Oliver will be for halloween. Whenever you put a sheet over him, his little arms go straigh out and start moving JUST like a scary ghost. Poor Oliver. We kept doing this to him and just LAUGHING. He didn't seem to mind too much.

Guess...

Bryce put me up to this....
We want to take a poll to see who thinks this weight is Bryce HOLDING Oliver or just Bryce by himself.
Vote away. We will reveal the answer in a few days.

Pumpkin carving...

We carved pumpkins today. It was so much fun.
This is Kobe and his friend Nigel.

Here is the whole crew: (left to right) Daniel, Jasmine, CJ, Mackenzie (my nephew), Kobe (Mackenzie's brother, and also my nephew) and Nigel.

Here is Daniel---"being cool".

I am so in love with these two men.

Oliver meets Amy...

My sister Amy got to meet Oliver today for the first time. It was priceless. They connected instantly. She turned him into a chatty-cathy. I swear he talked more with her than I have ever heard him speak. It was so sweet.

This is Oliver meeting his cousins Mackenzie (left) and Kobe (right).

This is sweet Jasmine---she is Amy's niece. She is like a niece to me. She is such a sweet and beautiful little woman.

Here is Oliver doing his tummy-time.

Best Uncle Ever....

I mean no offense to Oliver's other amazing Uncles, but Daniel is the best one. He is so funny. It is not that he offers to help with Oliver at all, because it doesn't, but I have been getting a kick out of asking him to do things for him.
Here is Daniel preparing Oliver's bottles. He took it so seriously and was so careful to get the measurements exact.

Here is Daniel putting on Oliver's sleeper. When Daniel was putting Oliver's hands through the sleeves, he kept saying "Gently...gently...gently...to himself". He did really well.

Oliver knew that he was in good hands.

Family fun...

Here are Dad and Daniel picking us up from the airport. It is so good to be home.
We went straight from the airport to Matthew and Teri's new apartment.

Oliver and Pops

Oliver's first flight...

Well, Oliver experienced his first flight yesterday. We were worried that the altitude and compression would hurt his little ears. He was a jewel. Perfectly fine. And as you can see in this flattering shot of me.....I was fine too.

shots...

We took Oliver for his first shots yesterday. It was very traumatic....for me. He did great. Bryce and I were both there for support. Or I should say---Oliver and Bryce were there to support me. I was so nervous.
They gave him four shots. Two in one leg, two in the other. Oliver just sat there for the first three, but by the fourth one---he was DONE. He let out the loudest cry of his short little life. I picked him up and held him and he stopped crying right away. He sems to be fine now.

By the way---he weighs 14.5 pounds. He is in the 95 percentile for both height and weight.
Yep---we are raising a tank. A very cute tank.

Dinner at Brent and Diane's...

Diane and Brent had us all over for dinner on Sunday. It was delicious, as usual---and wonderful to see everyone.

Here is a great shot of all of the Milne boys. Beautiful.

This is a FOUR generation picture of Oliver, Bryce, Diane (bryce's mom) and Bernice (Diane's mom)

Here are all of my funny nieces and nephews (on that side).
Just being themselves.

Sundance with Crit and Mary...

We went to Brunch at Sundance with Critti and Mary on Sunday---then went up to the Sundance stables.
Here is a rare shot of Bryce on a horse. Hot.

Our little family. :)

Mary is so at home with horses. It is amazing. She is less afraid than I am. Here is here sweet horse hug.

Check her out....no fear.

Fun Oliver Pics...

Our sweet friend Julie came down to meet Oliver. It was a riot.
Here is Oliver, asleep in his swing. All I can say is look at those
CHEEKS!!!

This was so funny. Oliver could not get enough of nuzzle-ing down into Julie's chest. He would dig in his legs and just NUZZLE.... He loved her softness. It was so sweet.

Sweet Crit kissing the cheeks---its hard not to.

My two favorite men.

Hike with Critti and Mary...

Today Crit, Mary, Oliver and I went for a walk on the Provo River trail. It was magical. Leaves everywhere---perfect weather. It is so good to have them here.

Mary is so grown up now. I cannot believe how witty and funny she is. She can be such a 30-year-old sometimes---not to mention what a beautiful young woman she is. She amazes me.

Here is my serious little boy.

Mary meets Oliver...

Crit and Mary arrived yesterday for a visit. Mary has not met Oliver yet. It was such a special occcasion. They were so sweet together.

Here is Mary and I having a little fun...

This is Mary helping me give Oliver a bath. She is such a good big sister.
