This may be my favorite video ever. Daniel was just "in the zone" and being so funny. Here he is teaching Oliver to walk....or trying to.

Enjoy:

Jeremy and Christine's cabin....

We were lucky enough to go to Jeremy and Christine's cabin out in Oakley, UT over the weekend and spend the night. While no one, including Kiaser (the german shepard) slept ALL that well....we had an amazing time:
Here is Daniel with Christine....he walked up behind her and gave her a huge bear hug, just before this. He can be so filled with love sometimes. It is sweet.

Daniel and Bryce...

Sometimes I wonder if Oliver has a future in evangelical speaking. He VERY OFTEN will go into scream-talking fits---but will raise ONE hand in the air the whole time. It is so funny. Here is just one of his hand-talking-fests:

Here we are on day two taking a very short hike:

Daniel, Christine and Jeremy....
Did I mention that it was a very short hike? Well, Daniel was a champ, but that does not mean that he did not need to take a few breaks:
Here he is making his way down a hillside:

Oliver was not as "in" to the hike as everyone else, but he enjoyed it:

We leave on Tuesday for a week in North Carolina! We are so excited!!!!! We will be together with most of my siblings and Oliver will be with most of his cousins. We will only be missing my oldest brother Arthur, wife: Lori and kids: Savannah and Jacob. They will be deeply missed at the DAVIS FAMILY EXTRAVAGANZA.

We will have:

1 Dad

5 (out of 6) siblings

3 (out of 4) spouses

8 (out of the 10) cousins

2 dogs

10-20 cats (depending on the day)

1 HOUSE.

wish us luck

Many pictures and stories soon to come....

Seven Peaks...again....

So, we've been to Seven Peaks (local water park) many times with Daniel and Oliver. Oliver is warming up to the experience nicely. Here he is in the kid area---which is VERY "splashy". He was hilarious:
We took Oliver down his FIRST adult water-slide. I waited (and waited) at the bottom....ready to capture the moment of him coming down his first slide. I expected him to be anything from laughing to crying....I did not expect the utter nothingness that he actually offered (with regards to reaction):

Daniel is a fish. He LOVES the wave pool and hangs out there most of the time. Although, this time he did get into the slides a bit more .

This is my favorite picture of the day. Oliver looks like such a goober.

It makes us laugh so hard.

I am sure you see this next picture and think....WHAT IS WRONG WITH DANIEL???? Well, Daniel went out on the front porch to hang out, as he often does...and Bryce went to check on him and found him snoring and asleep like this:

Hilarous. We are loving our time with him here.

Happy Father's Day...

Well, Sunday was Bryce's first FATHER's DAY.
I wish this picture had turned out more clearly....cause our father's day started out FUNNY:
There's nothing like dressing your baby up in funny stuff.

It was a day filled with levity of many sorts. We went to Brent and Diane's for a lovely lunch. Here is Zoey, reminding us all of how olives are supposed to be eaten.

And here is Brent with sweet baby-Beckett. Though you cannot tell, Beckett had a blast. Serious boy. He is so precious and actually smiles and laughs a lot.

Me and Oliver.

All I can say about these two is:

TROUBLE

trust me.

And here are the lovely nieces:

I made Bryce smile.

Here are all of the Milne boys and thier babies.
And let's not forget the reason WHY Bryce is having a Father's Day.
Our pride and joy:
(bryce put the rambo ribbon on him, by the way)

Here is Daniel, who is excessively happy because he had a hamburger. He had a great time.

Didn't I tell you?

If you didn't believe that they were TROUBLE before....give them ice cream.

Happy Father's Day, Bryce.

You are such an amazing father.

We love you.

Highland Games...

So, if you haven't heard....(aka, you've never met Daniel).....Daniel LIVES for anything Scottish. On June 13 and 14, Thanksgiving Point had its annual Highland Games. We, of course, went: We purchased some fabric from the local Wal-Mart for Daniel's costume. He took the whole thing really seriously.

Oliver, on the other hand, just found the whole thing to be a bit hot and loud. He hung in there, nevertheless.
What I could not get enough of was the fact that Daniel, EXCITEDLY, pointed out every single person in kilt and/or carrying a bag pipe. Needless to say, they were EVERYWHERE----but he loved every single one.
This is the opening night "Tatoo". I don't know if I spelled that right, but basically it was the opening night concert of pipers and singing and drums etc, etc, etc.....
We went on both days. Daniel took many opportunities to play his chanter for the public.
It was very cool.

Some of our daily fun...

So, here are a few of the "goings on" around our house. We are loving having Daniel here. Our days are filled with sitting on the porch, going on walks, playing at the park, going to 7 Peaks (when the weather allows), playing catch in the back yard....etc....etc....etc....
.
.
All in all, pretty mellow. Here is Daniel on the front porch with Oliver:
I cannot even say how entertaining it is to see Daniel with Oliver. It just warms my heart. They have a great connection.

We are lucky to be withing walking distance of about 3 different parks. One of them has has a few war memorials in it. This is one of them. I am not sure exactly WHAT it is, but Daniel called it a rocket launcher and wanted to take a picture with he and Bryce on it....hence:

Here is Oliver, still sick, witnessing the picture-taking. You can just see in his little eyes that he does not feel well. So sad.

Daniel saluting:

(he takes these memorials very seriously)

Oliver in the swing...

So, all in all, we are just really enjoying having Daniel.

Our days and nights have taken on a nice routine.

At the end of this day, when we put Oliver to bed, Daniel wanted to "tuck him in". I love this video. Enjoy:

Happy Birthday Bryce Milne Davis...

Happy birthday Bryce.
Daniel ends our names (Bryce, Oliver and mine with Davis), hence:
Happy Birthday Bryce Milne Davis.
Yesterday, June 6th, was Bryce's 32nd birthday. It was, well, less than celebratory. Oliver has had a "sore throat" with fever and ear ache for about a week now. He gets better and then worse again. So, we have been exhausted. Because of Oliver's sickness, we did not get a sitter and "do" anything. We just hung out at home, got sushi take out and enjoyed each other's company. Daniel made Bryce a card that read:
"Happy Birthday Bryce,
Cry baby
I love you"
Hilarious.

So, it was a birthday, sans the real "celebration". However, I did, throughout the day, relish the fact that I have Bryce Milne Davis in my life. I am so lucky to have this deeply caring, loyal, generous, beautiful (inside and out) and FUNNY man as my husband.
Happy Birthday, Bryce.
We love you so much.

Seven Peaks...

Since we all have season passes to Seven Peaks (the local water park) we decided to go for the first time this season. First...we got Oliver a sun hat that actually fits him....check it out. Pretty cute, and virtually imposible for him to remove (key factor):
Here is Oliver experiencing his first dip into the wave pool. He was a little unsure at first....
Daniel, on the other hand, was perfectly comfortable: Here is cute Oliver, he was so clingy! It was adorable. He just did not know what to make of the vast amounts of water and loud noises.
Here is Daniel with his cool under water moves. Look closely at the rock n' roll hand and the crossed legs:
Oliver warmed up to the pool experience, eventually....
And then, he could not get enough of it...
Here is sweet Daniel feeding Oliver. He, as always, is so tender and careful with him. It is so fun to watch.
All in all, a perfect day. We have gone one other time since then and plan to go MANY times this summer.

If you ever need someone to mow your lawn....

Bryce showed Daniel how to mow our lawn today. It was hilarious. Please take special notice of Daniel's technique and the utter random manner in which he makes his turns. He had fun. He worked hard. Bryce re-mowed the entire lawn (not that it is very big) after he was done.

So, if you ever need your lawn mowed---he comes real cheap. Let us know.
