Carolina Beach

June 18th was Kobe's 5th birthday---so we took a trip to the beach (Carolina Beach). It was AMAZING. The water was perfect....cool but not cold....and the waves were just right (not too scary).
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KOBE!!
Mackenzie, Kobe and Mary road in the back together for the three hour trip. They were great and seemed to really enjoy each other.

Daniel gave the ocean a shot---but he DID NOT like the salt in his eyes. It was really funny---every time a wave would come along and get salt in his eyes, he would flip off the ocean. I should've stopped him---but I could not control my laughter. How many times does the mighty Atlantic get the finger? Sooo, Daniel ended up enjoying the shade and sand quite a bit.

This is a Bryce self portrait, by the way. HOT. :)

Kobe--hugging the belly.
We showered off in the fresh water to get all the sand and salt off---
unfortunately it was VERY cold.

Daniel - THE GRADUATE...

We are so proud of Daniel. He graduated from High School today. It was wonderful. He was really animated as he walked in and as he walked up to get his diploma. It was so fun to watch.

Daniel opening a few Graduation Presents...

This entry goes out as a HUGE thank you from Daniel to a few loved ones who send some graduation gifts. The first two are of Daniel opening thier card and gift from Bryce's parents, Brent and Diane.

This card was from Kristin, Tab, Lucy and Kevin.
Thank you!!! Daniel loved the cards and sweet thoughts. He sends his love.

NC Trip - Wrestling

Our mellow nights at home in North Carolina often find themselves digressing into a wrestling match (or would that be progressing?). I can't say there was a definitive winner---but Daniel certainly came out on top.

NC Trip- Swimming

Today we took Daniel and our nephews Mackenzie and Kobe swimming. It was a blast. Daniel was in rare form.

Kitton = practice baby

Sorry Kitton---poor thing. She makes such a good practice baby. We got this free onsey in the mail from our insurance company---so NATURALLY we put it on our cat for fun. She was a good sport. She purred the whole time. What added to the comedy is that she WOULD NOT walk around in it. Once I put her down, she would only roll around on the floor. Funny.

NOTE:: Though Bryce is not seen in these photos---he WAS an active participant. :) I'm not the only crazy in the house.

Le Petite Kitton LOVES the baby...

Le Petite Kitton has a new favorite thing---sleeping ON my belly! She's such a lover. If I am in a position that will allow it---she'll come up and either lay on or beside my belly for a nap. What a sweetheart. Too bad we'll forget who she is once the baby comes! Just kidding....

Key West

Though our Key West trip was a few months ago---I wanted to share some pics. It was absolutely perfect. I guess it was our last BIG trip without the baby---so we tried to do as much as possible. We went snorkeling, sea kayaking, sailing, swimming (of course) and road bikes ALL over the island.

Welcome to my new blog!!!

Welcome to our blog. With this baby about 10 weeks out, I am feeling the familial obligation to start providinig pictures and stories about the little monster.

The first picture here is of me at 20 weeks.

The next picture is of me at about 30 weeks.

I have gained a whopping 35 pounds---and growing.

This has still been the easiest pregnancy ever. I feel great---still have a lot of energy. The baby kicks ALL the time.

This morning was a sweet moment. It was one of those rare mornings that Bryce and I could sleep in together (we are relishing those, as I hear you NEVER get them again after the baby comes). Well--the baby seemed to be asleep--not moving at all. We were just laying and cuddling and Bryce put his hand on my belly. The baby perked up and started kicking Bryce's hand vigorously. It was like "he" was saying "Hey DAD!" As soon as Bryce pulled his hand away "he" stopped.

We tried it again. The baby was still for quite some time and Bryce put his hand on my belly---and what do you know---"sir-kicks-a-lot" starts wiggling around again. It was very sweet.

It is amazing---I can feel this little personality already. We can't wait to meet "him".

NOTE: For those of you who do not know---we DO NOT know the sex of the baby. Bryce and I have "felt" boy since I got pregnant--so that is what we are calling it.
