June 18th was Kobe's 5th birthday---so we took a trip to the beach (Carolina Beach). It was AMAZING. The water was perfect....cool but not cold....and the waves were just right (not too scary). HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KOBE!!
Mackenzie, Kobe and Mary road in the back together for the three hour trip. They were great and seemed to really enjoy each other.
Daniel gave the ocean a shot---but he DID NOT like the salt in his eyes. It was really funny---every time a wave would come along and get salt in his eyes, he would flip off the ocean. I should've stopped him---but I could not control my laughter. How many times does the mighty Atlantic get the finger? Sooo, Daniel ended up enjoying the shade and sand quite a bit.

We showered off in the fresh water to get all the sand and salt off---unfortunately it was VERY cold.
